If you have ever used a text editor or a word processor, you are already familiar with the concept of editing based on selecting, cutting, copying and pasting.
SimpleMovieX works the same way, the only difference is that what you select, cut, copy and paste is a sequence instead of a block a text.
So the general process for editing will be:
Select the sequence to edit with the timeline controls. See Master the time to refresh on this.
Cut or copy it.
(optional) Select a point of insertion and paste.
Sequences can be can be moved from one movie to another just as you would copy a bit of text from one document to another. Multiple level Undos and Redos in Edit menu will forgive any misstep during edition.
You can practice your editing skills with the sample movie called Puzzle, found in this web page:

The sequence has been shuffled. Will you be able to fix the movie so that it displays in the correct order ?
Tip: Use Control+Arrows to move exactly on edit marks.
Solution: Follow those steps.
